Our History
1955
George Walker and Elizabeth Young went on their first date, for Coffee, in the Cafe at 106 Bonnygate, Cupar
1962
George Walker started Walkers Upholstery, from a workshop at Waterend Road in Cupar
1980
George’s daughter Elsie started training with her father in Walkers Upholstery
1986
Elsie, now an experienced upholsterer, and her husband Steve bought into Walkers Upholstery and purchased a shop in Cupar, the same place George and Elizabeth went on their first date – 106 Bonnygate, Cupar
2022
Walkers Upholstery celebrated their 60th birthday
2023
Looking towards retirement Steve and Elsie decide to handover the reigns of the business to daughter Melissa and partner Richard, who have modernised things a little and have opened Walkers of Cupar, the shop you see today
